Simply Structural is a Phoenix-based structural engineering firm with more than 20 years of experience, working on commercial and industrial projects across multiple states. We are built differently from large firms: our engineers work directly with our Principal Engineer and carry real project responsibility from day one, rather than being siloed into narrow tasks.
Here you will be involved in the full project lifecycle, from proposal through design and into field inspections. We cover licensure fees, pay a bonus for passing the PE exam, and grow our engineers into leadership roles as the firm expands. Recent work includes a 1.2 million-square-foot tilt-up logistics center, a 417,000-square-foot distribution facility, and mixed-use developments in several states.
Senior Structural Engineer (PE)
A licensed PE role with genuine project ownership, direct client contact, and design authority, without bureaucratic layers.
What you will do
- Lead structural design on commercial and industrial projects from concept through construction
- Manage projects independently, owning client contact and deliverables
- Perform analysis using RISA-3D, RISA Floor, Enercalc, and vendor tools
- Review shop drawings and contribute to value-engineering efforts
- Mentor junior engineers as the team grows
What we are looking for
- PE license (Arizona or a reciprocal state)
- 6 to 10+ years of structural design experience
- Ability to manage projects independently
- Proficiency with structural analysis software
- Based in our Phoenix office, in person, not remote or hybrid
- U.S. work authorization (we do not offer visa sponsorship)

Structural Engineer (EIT)
An early-career role for FE/EIT-certified engineers pursuing PE licensure through direct mentorship, real design work rather than assembly-line connection details.
What you will do
- Support structural design on commercial and industrial projects
- Work alongside the Principal Engineer on genuine design decisions
- Gain exposure across the full project lifecycle
- Take part in value-engineering studies
- Progress toward independent project leadership
What we are looking for
- FE/EIT certification (PE not required)
- ABET-accredited civil or structural engineering degree
- Grounding in structural analysis fundamentals; RISA/Enercalc exposure a plus
- Based in our Phoenix office, our mentorship model is in person
- U.S. work authorization (we do not offer visa sponsorship)
